Day 1: The Great Commission
Reading: Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus’ final command to His disciples was to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This Great Commission isn’t just for pastors or missionaries – it’s for all believers. Today, reflect on how you can share God’s love and the message of salvation in your daily life. Are there opportunities to witness that you’ve been overlooking? Remember, Jesus promised to be with us always as we fulfill this mission. Pray for courage and wisdom to be His faithful ambassador wherever you go.
Day 2: Powered by the Holy Spirit
Reading: Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49
Jesus promised His disciples they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. This same power is available to us today. We don’t have to rely on our own strength to live the Christian life or share the gospel. Take time to ask God to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit. Seek His guidance and empowerment for the tasks He’s called you to. Remember, waiting on God’s timing and power is crucial for effective ministry.
Day 3: God’s Unfailing Care
Reading: 1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 6:25-34
Throughout the sermon, we were reminded that God cares deeply for us. No matter what challenges we face, He is attentive to our needs. Today, cast your anxieties on Him, knowing He cares for you. Make a list of your current worries and concerns, then prayerfully surrender each one to God. Trust in His provision and timing. How might your perspective change if you truly believed God was intimately concerned with every detail of your life?
Day 4: Sharing Your Testimony
Reading: Acts 26:12-23 (Paul’s testimony)
Your personal story of encountering Jesus is a powerful tool for evangelism. Like Paul, we’re called to be witnesses of what Christ has done in our lives. Take some time to write out your testimony – how you came to faith, how God has worked in your life, and the difference Jesus has made. Practice sharing it concisely. Ask God for opportunities to tell others about His transforming love and grace in your life.
Day 5: Perseverance in Faith
Reading: Hebrews 12:1-3
The Christian life is often compared to a race that requires endurance. There will be challenges and setbacks, but we’re encouraged to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Reflect on times when your faith has been tested. How did God sustain you? Remember that Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him – our salvation. What “joy set before you” can motivate you to persevere in your faith journey? Ask God for strength to run your race with perseverance today and in the days ahead.
