Day 1: The Great I AM
Reading: Exodus 3:13-14, John 8:58
In times of uncertainty, we often struggle to understand our circumstances. Yet God remains constant, declaring “I AM WHO I AM.” Just as He revealed Himself to Moses and as Jesus affirmed His divine nature, God continues to be our unchanging rock. Reflect on areas in your life where you need to trust in God’s unchanging nature. How can embracing God as the great I AM bring you peace amid life’s storms?
Day 2: Radical Hospitality
Reading: Luke 14:12-14, Hebrews 13:1-2
Jesus demonstrated radical hospitality by feeding the 5,000. He calls us to extend welcome beyond our comfort zones, to those who cannot repay us. Consider how you can practice radical hospitality this week. Is there someone unexpected you can invite to your table or show kindness to? Remember, in serving others, we may be entertaining angels unawares.
Day 3: Faith in the Storm
Reading: Mark 4:35-41, Psalm 107:28-30
Life’s storms are inevitable, but Jesus promises to be with us through them all. Like the disciples on the stormy sea, we may feel overwhelmed, but Christ’s presence brings peace. Reflect on a current “storm” in your life. How can you invite Jesus into this situation? Practice saying, “It is I, do not be afraid” in Christ’s voice to your troubled heart.
Day 4: From Scarcity to Abundance
Reading: John 6:1-13, 2 Corinthians 9:8
The miracle of loaves and fishes reminds us that God can multiply our meager offerings into abundance. What “little” do you have that you can place in God’s hands today? It might be a talent, resource, or simply your time. Trust that God can use it beyond what you can imagine. Pray for eyes to see God’s abundance in your life, even in apparent scarcity.
Day 5: Rest in His Presence
Reading: Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 46:10
In our busy, often chaotic world, Jesus invites us to “sit down” and rest in His presence. This rest is more than physical; it’s a soul-deep peace that comes from trusting in God’s sovereignty. Today, intentionally set aside time for stillness before God. As you do, repeat the truth: “Be still, and know that I am God.” Allow His presence to refresh and reorient you amidst life’s struggles.
